He believes that this mission to eliminate gun violence in schools did not come from his own choosing; rather, it was a calling that he could no longer wish would end. Acknowledging this as a critical national issue, Rico has committed himself to tirelessly and passionately work towards the eradication of school shootings, ensuring that our children and educators return home safely to their families each and every day. Rico's personal story of resilience—overcoming addiction, incarceration, and homelessness drives his mission to empower others to conquer adversity and realize their full potential.

As the founder of Students Lives Matter and Teachers Lives Matter, Rico's determination is aimed at saving lives and curbing violence through his innovative school curriculum, "Breaking the Silence, Stopping Gun Violence."

Recognized nationally as an expert in leadership, school security, and student success, he equips educators and students, and employees with the resources needed to foster safer schools, corporate growth and stronger communities.
Rico is also the author of the recently released leadership books, "Bringing Out the Best in You" and its companion workbook, which offer practical step-by-step strategies for enhancing confidence, teamwork, and transformational leadership in all aspects. Rico is also a Pastor who has grown a church from his home to over 3,000 members across multiple locations and serves as a life coach and mentor to athletes in the NBA, NFL, WBO and several College Athletes.
